Azerbaijan and UAE signed several deals regarding cooperation in production in the field of renewable energy, local media reported.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in integrated renewable energy at sea, during a groundbreaking ceremony for the Garadagh solar power plant with an installed capacity of 230 megawatts.
The deal was signed by Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Samir Veliyev and Chairman of the Board of Masdar Mohammad Jamil Al Ramahi.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The memorandum was signed by Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Hijran Valehov and Chairman of the Board of Masdar Mohammad Jamil Al Ramahi.
Additionally, the executive director of the Azerbaijan Investment Company Ulvi Mansurov and the chairman of the board of Masdar Mohammad Jamil Al Ramahi signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of electricity production from municipal solid waste.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed on cooperation in the field of renewable and clean energy in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions.
The Director of the State Agency signed the document for Renewable Energy under the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan Tabriz Ammayev and Chairman of the Board of Masdar Mohammad Jamil Al Ramahi.
