According to local media, Vietnam plans to increase its electricity generation from renewable energy sources up to 45 percent by 2030.
Hanoi plans to increase the share of renewable energy sources and invest $14 billion in the project.

In the following period, the country will also have to purchase liquefied natural gas to meet the rapid growth in electricity demand.
Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Chairman Pham Tan Cong said that Vietnam puts great importance on sustainable energy development, wants to maintain national energy security, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
