A team of engineers has created portable solar power generator that can store solar energy and release it as needed by its users. This system is based on the MOST system developed at Chalmers University of Technology.
The system works thanks to a specially created molecule that changes its “shape” upon contact with sunlight. Researchers at Shanghai University have created a generator that releases and converts energy into electricity.
So, Swedish scientists sent energy to their Chinese colleagues, which was converted into electricity in China.
The experts noted that the portable solar power generator is a thin chip that can be integrated into electronics. A successful experiment showed that the new system will quickly find application in many cases.
