David Fulon, Head of US Offshore Wind Power at TotalEnergies, said that “TotalEnergies is pleased to share our global experience in deploying efficient large scale offshore assets at Castle Wind in California.”
He also added that the work done by the teams in recent years has laid a solid foundation for the local communities and that the company looks forward to working together and bring clean energy to the state
“This Castle Wind partnership is another major step for TotalEnergies to contribute to the development of US offshore wind power and fulfill its global ambition of being one of the world’s top 5 renewable energy producers by 2030.” Fullon added.
According to Castle’s CEO Alla Weinstein, the company has come a long way since we first identified offshore wind power opportunities in California in 2016.
“The experience and expertise of TotalEnergies in developing offshore wind projects in excess of 10 GW will be invaluable as we work to make offshore wind a reality in California.” Weinstein added.
TotalEnergies has been the majority shareholder of San Jose-based SunPower since 2012.
